My name is Deniz Uyanik, and I am a BACP-registered CBT Psychotherapist with extensive experience in evidence-based therapy. I have an MSC in Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies from the University of Bolton. Since 2018, I have been providing individual therapy sessions for adults from every gender and orientation, including expats, refugees, working people, and migrants. I offer therapy sessions in both English and my native language, Turkish. Currently, I am pursuing my PhD with the University of Bolton via their affiliate in Athens, Greece, focusing on trauma research.

Specializations:

My work covers a broad spectrum of mental health issues, working with diverse adult populations. Therapy applies to everyone regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, or education. I have worked with clients from European countries, Asia, and the Middle East, as well as business people, students, and refugees. I also volunteered as a psychotherapist for the Turkish LGBTQI+ refugee foundation KAOS GL, providing sessions for refugees.

My experience working with problems such as:

    • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Specialized support for individuals dealing with trauma, addressing flashbacks, nightmares, and emotional numbness.
    • Depression: Evidence-based therapy to manage symptoms such as low mood, lack of interest, and changes in sleep and appetite.
    • Anxiety Disorders: Comprehensive assistance for various anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, and panic disorder.
    • Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): Techniques to manage obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours, fostering a sense of control and relief.
    • Phobias: Systematic desensitization and exposure therapies to address specific phobias, enabling individuals to face and manage their fears effectively.
    • Grief Counseling: Specialized support for individuals experiencing loss, helping navigate the complexities of grief and mourning.
    • Personality Disorders: Tailored approaches for disorders such as borderline, schizoid, histrionic, avoidant, dependent, and obsessive-compulsive personality disorders.

I also provide therapy focused on LGBTQI+ individuals, addressing their unique struggles and challenges.

Session Duration:

  • Standard Session: 45-50 minutes
  • Extended Session: 90 minutes

FEES

When a client decides to start a therapy journey, this process is considered on a long-term, open-ended basis, and my primary focus is on ensuring consistent support and affordability. Here’s how we handle the fee structure for long-term therapy:

60 Euros per hour in all around Europe

For clients in the UK, the fee is 60 Pounds + Taxes

Online Therapy Sessions:

Online therapy sessions are conducted via Google Meet. Rates for online sessions are the same as in-person sessions.

Cancellation Policy:

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Missed sessions or late cancellations may be subject to a fee. Please refer to our cancellation policy for more details.
